Yesterday’s Halloween Party was a gigantic success (like Frankenstein big)! We almost 200 people who came out with their pooches to make it a fun day. The weather was gorgeous and there were so many PAW-tastic costumes! 100% of the proceeds will go towards saving more lives!
A special thank you to Paws-itive Experience Pet Services, Terrie Carr, 105.5 WDHA, Frosty Pooch, Bettyann Salierno and all the local businesses who donated to our tricky tray for coming to make the day so special! Check out our Facebook page for even more PAW-some dogs in costumes pictures!
No Dog About It Blog
I can’t help but squeal over the videos I found for today’s Favorite Video Friday blog post.
I first saw Murkin last year in an adorable video that was posted in 2011. It was so popular that it already had quite a few hits (it’s now up over 7 million views) and had a ton of comments.

We recently received a very generous offer from a former adopter. She has offered to sponsor Tina Tanner in an effort to help her get adopted. The sponsorship includes paying $100 towards the $250 adoption fee.
Tina Tanner is a nearly two-year-old Retriever/Pit mix. Earlier this year she battled a dangerous illness called parvovirus. Thanks to early detection, great veterinary care and a loving foster home, she has made a full recovery from the virus. She weighs approximately 45 pounds and has grown into her full height. She walks well on a lead and would make a perfect jogging partner. Tina is house-trained; crate trained and enjoys playing with toys. She gets along well with other dogs but is a high energy player so an older, less active or more timid dog might not be the best fit. Tina is still learning about the world and can be hesitant around some new people she meets but as soon as she realizes that no harm will come to her, she cannot stop wagging her tail.
